Can we bring our own alcohol to the Inn?
No, under Vermont State Liquor, all alcohol must be provided by the Resort.
At what hour must we end the reception?
Although we don’t have a time restriction, most receptions end around 11:00pm.
Where can we continue to celebrate after the tent reception?
The Tavern will reopen after your tent reception, for a cash bar or hosted bar. Your coordinator will discuss late night snack options with you.
How many people can The Mountain Top Inn & Resort accommodate?
We have 30 rooms in the Lodge which can accommodate up to 79 guests. Also the Resort has 18 chalet homes in our rental program, which can accommodate an additional 110 guests.
How many guests can the tent hold?
Our tent can be adjusted to fit from 50 to 250 guests comfortably. Extensions to the tent can be rented to accommodate larger weddings. We do have other spaces to accommodate smaller events.
Who caters all the events?
The team of culinary professionals at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort is dedicated to providing you an incredible gourmet weekend, from the Welcome Reception to the Departing Brunch. The sky’s the limit!
What if I want to cook my own meal in one of the chalet homes, for a large group?
The Mountain Top Inn & Resort is required to cater any event larger than 20 guests.
Are we required to book all of the guest rooms?
Requirements vary depending on the date chosen, however all Saturday weddings in peak season (May-October) are required to book all 30 rooms in the main Lodge for both Friday and Saturday nights.
What does the site fee include?
Our site fee includes, use of the main wedding tent, tables, chairs, china, glassware and flatware. Reception tables are 6’ rounds which comfortably seat 10 guests. Our reception chairs are a dark brown chiavari chair.
Does the site fee include the ceremony site?
There is a $500 ceremony fee for all weddings.
Who will take care of the set up on the day of the event?
We have two event planners on site. You will be assigned to a planner at the time of booking, who will assist you through the planning process including menu planning, timelines and logistics, room bookings and vendor recommendations. On the weekend of your wedding your event planner will be on site to be sure all vendors arrive on time, to assist in setting up decorations, tables, etc. They will make sure your day is relaxed and stress free.
